Mini Studios is a new production and development company based in Melbourne Australia. We actively seek out scripts and concepts, and intensively develop them, and explore new approaches to production and distribution.

Combining the strengths of Steve Kearney’s extensive career in TV and Film both here and overseas, and the local production and post production knowledge of Leanne Tonkes, Mini Studios is poised to be a unique company in the Australian Film and TV landscape.

After meeting at a Film Victoria initiated Speed Dating session, Steve and Leanne were immediately drawn to each other as they discussed their passion for creation, nurturing of writers, the challenge of funding and excitement of production.

Nurturing and working with new and established writers, Mini Studios will attach creative and producorial elements to the scripts as they develop.

Mini Studios works with local like minded producers and overseas entities who share our passion and express interest in forming partnerships, to bring our projects to the screen.
