Nit Wits

Nit Wits is an animated TV show designed by pre schoolers. It follows the adventures of 4 nits that live on a head in a Nit Wit world, as seen through their nit eyes – visually and emotionally. As the Nit Wits progress through the day we learn lessons in sharing and the value of play.
We begin the show with live action footage of children drawing on a large table. They have pens and coloured textas, pencils and paper and are really working hard at drawing! We hear snippets of what the children are talking about which may include their favourite Nit or a special episode they saw or even what they like to draw the most.
Soon we focus on one child in particular and focus on their drawing.
That drawing becomes animated and suddenly we have left the live action segment and are now in the Nit Wits animated world.
The item drawn by the child will become the focus of the episode. It may be a log or a tree or a person a castle or an animal. Imagination runs riot! This item will be in colour, the Nits world is in Black and White.
After our adventure we return to the live action footage. Children clean up, discuss their drawings and our “hero� drawing is framed and placed on a wall for all to see.
